It is that time again…you know…that time for growth!

Personal Growth is a GREAT thing. Remember? You have what you have today because of it.

So, what’s involved in today’s growth exercise?

Well, today I am talking about asking WHO you are grateful for in your life?

Plot twist: However, I invite you to find gratitude in someone that has rubbed you the wrong way, or may be out trying to tear you down to make themselves look bigger and better. :/ (I know, so many to choose from, right? lol )

I know that you and I understand that there is enough to go around, and that everyone can be recognized for being great, have what they want, make what they want and still be happy for others’ success, but some people still struggle with the idea. In fact, I know that we all do because we all have lessons to learn.

When someone rubs you the wrong way, they are causing you to see something that you do not want to see. Perhaps a weakness, a flaw, a mistake, or a missed opportunity. Bringing awareness to this is where the gift resides. If you cannot find gratitude in this person then you are on the right track because it has not yet been revealed to you. Keep searching. Ask yourself more questions, “What could this represent?” “How could I see this differently?”

You see, life is not a competition, but rather an opportunity to expand together. Growth is our best form of expansion. There has always been and always be enough, you just have to decide it to be true.

In fact, the number of Millionaires and Billionaires is growing every year. In 2009, there were only 793 billionaires, and in 2016 there were more than 1800 Billionaires. In 2016, there were more than 35 Million Millionaires.

So, I doubt Joe down the street really has the power to keep you from reaching your potential, so stop worrying about him and stay focused on what you want. You never know, Joe could be the reason you succeed because he is calling forth in you the desire to want to be better.

As you might be thinking to yourself that there is no way you can find gratitude for “that person”, I will you leave you with this quote by the poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, who wrote, “If we could read the secret history of our enemies we would find in each man’s sorrow and suffering enough to disarm all hostility.”

So, who are you grateful for? Keep it to yourself or you might get in trouble! 🙂

Yours Truly,

Calvenn Starre
