What is Duplication and How Does It Relate to My MLM Business?
The world of Network Marketing, or MLM, has only one factor that will determine the success of any company and its Business Associates. DUPLICATION! The question you have to ask yourself is, “Is there a way that anyone in my MLM Business duplicate my efforts?” If you are unable to answer with a truthful “YES!”, then you do not have a viable plan for creating success. Why is this? Well, if you are not able to duplicate your efforts, then you have nothing more than a job. Does anyone want a another job? (I did not think so!) So, let me ask you, “What is the key to duplication in MLM?” Hopefully, your answer would be, “The system Calvenn, the system!!!” Webster defines a ‘system’ as, “3a. An organized or established procedure.” How important is it in my MLM Business really? Let me give you an example that everyone around the world can relate to today. "How is McDonald’s able to charge $1 million USD for each of their franchises?" (Now bear in mind, this only includes the name and recipe. It does not include the land, building, inventory, or anything else necessary for running that franchise. That’s right, for $1 million USD you receive only the name of Mc Donald’s and their proven recipe for SUCCESS! Everything else is an extra investment!) They can do this because they have a system that anyone can duplicate anywhere in the world – and they have proven it. Now that’s duplication! Would you like to create this type of a system in your MLM? Yes, or YES!? Just keep in mind, the simpler your system, the faster and easier your team members will be able to duplicate it, and the results that come with it. The great news is that the duplication system already exists with your MLM, AND it is as easy as 1,2,3! Because your MLM already has an amazing product that gives people a result in a specific area of their life, your system or recipe is simple. Follow this and you will be successful! For personal meetings or larger meetings: 1) Start with the Demonstration of your MLM Product(s). 2) Share your personal story with the MLM products, and/or how you became involved. 3) Share about your MLM and the Vision of the Company. 4) Show your prospect(s) how to make money by helping others by sharing your MLM and the product(s). 5) Teach your new Business Associates this system. 6) Duplicate this system with a minimum of 2 people. This is really simple, right? Just in case it is needed, let me explain each step in a little more detail for you. 1) Start with the Demonstration of your MLM Products.
The reason we start with a demonstration is because when people see/hear about the results of the products, they will be more open to understanding how they work. Field leaders, like myself, have proven that if you talk to people about the science behind the products first, they tend to close their minds before you even get to show them how it actually works because they have to use judgment and reasoning while learning. The best analogy I can think of is this: When you have to explain to someone that something is “hot”, you can talk to them all day about the sensation or pain that they will experience by touching something “hot”, however, they will never actually get it. NOW, if you take them over to a stove and let them touch a red-hot burner, they immediately get what “hot” means and are open to what you have to say about it. You have their attention! As they say in some parts of the world, “The proof is in the pudding!” Demonstrations should last about 10-15 minutes and involve the people that are new to your MLM. 2) Share your story with the MLM products and/or how you became involved.
When you share your own story, something happens to you and the people listening. You become more committed to the products through the positive reinforcement, and the people listening begin to see you as someone real and someone that they can relate to. You will connect with everyone in the meeting. This part should be no longer than 5 minutes long. You should make the story as short as possible and have passion and enthusiasm when sharing. Remember, enthusiasm is contagious. 3) Share about your MLM, the company, and its Vision.
When people are going to commit their time and resources to helping others through a medium other than their own, they want to know and believe in the company and its mission. To fully embody this as your own, visit the your company's website and read the Company’s Mission, Values and about each of the Executives. You will begin to understand that your MLM is ore than just an MLM business opportunity, it is a company on a Mission. It is here to serve people around the world and create better lives and raise the level of consciousness of the planet. This part should be no longer than 5 minutes either. 4) Show them how to make money by helping others and sharing your MLM's product(s).
After you conduct the demos, share your story and then share about your MLM and the vision, most everyone is excited and wants to share your MLM with the rest of the world. Imagine how excited your prospects will be when they find out that they can help others, change the world and get paid to do it! To do this right, you want to keep it very simple! Basically, you just want to let them know that the company is going to reward them for sharing the product with others. Then, cover a maximum of 3 areas of the Compensation/Marketing Plan that you are most comfortable with and move on to step 5! It is extremely important that when you are in front of a room that you DO NOT go into great detail about the MLM Compensation Plan. Why? Because for the average person, a Network Marketing Compensation Plan is a new concept. Your company should have trainings specifically to help people fully comprehend the MLM Compensation Plan, so do not think that you are going to explain it less than 5 minutes. REMEMBER: You just want to give the people a taste of what the possibility is for sharing your MLM with others. This part should be no longer than 5-7 minutes. 5) Teach your new Business Associates the system.
Once you have gone through steps 1-4 in a meeting, let people see how simple the process is for them. Walk them through the system just one time! They will most likely be blown away on how easy and simple it really is for them to be able to duplicate. Once they see it, they will become even more inspired to get started right away. This part should be about 3 minutes long. 6) Duplicate this system with a minimum of 2 people.
This is where the system never ends because you will always be sharing it with at least two (2) people. Your whole goal when getting started with your MLM is to find two (2) people that want to follow the system and teach it to others. Once you have succeeded with teaching this system to two (2) willing, able and ready people, you will want to find two (2) more people to continue the growth and momentum in your group. REMEMBER: As the Leader goes, so does the rest of the team! Be the example! In fact, your whole goal throughout your life with your MLM is to follow this system, and always be setting the example to everyone on your team. In all areas of life, and Network Marketing especially, you lead by example! As the Leader, you always want to set the example by practicing what you preach, or by what you expect others to be doing. Anyone that has ever approached me about not making it happen or about a system not working was experiencing failure because they were not practicing what they preached to others.
